This is a quick update for our #Goldenseal Bed number 7. It is pretty amazing how this year 2024 the growth has come on quickly for the 2nd growing season of our organically cultivated goldenseal. Very exciting.
Golden Summit Forest.

We are growing goldenseal organically in Ohio. This is an urban agroforestry application. We have new trees growing in the center of our land and goldenseal growing around the edges where the older trees are providing the shade. Three years in the making. Just turned in my organic certification application. Fingers crossed. Take a look at the south side of bed #2 it is pretty amazing to see how goldenseal comes up in the spring.

This is our soon to be organic certified goldenseal bed #1 update May 2024.
We started this bed back at the end of 2021 and planted it the first time in spring of 2022. This is the 3rd growing season for our goldenseal. We are started to see what appears to be harvestable populations. I am learning a lot about goldenseal organic cultivation. It seams like the 1st growing season some of it comes up, some does not..... 2nd year a bit more and 3rd year a bit more. This is definitely and exercise of patience...

Golden Summit Forest

I am testing a goldenseal planting at home. I want to see everyday what happens after planting goldenseal in a controlled environment. This goldenseal planting test is done at my house instead of our forest (Golden Summit Forest) I am using organic potting soil and adding organic matter in the form of American Cherry tree sticks and sawdust. I have placed it on the north side of our shed under some trees. Lets see how it does. I will update weekly as soon as we begin to see some growth. #goldenseal goldensummitforest.com
